In line with pursuing our values, our Group now wishes to engage its Societal Responsibility by conducting Sustainable Development actions.
Sustainable development is commonly defined as « a development that satisfies the needs of the current generation without compromising the capacity of future generations in satisfying their needs », and in our world of business we speak of Societal Responsibility.
Thus, we affirm in each and every country where we are implanted, our will to be an accountable player engaged in the progression of the societies to which we contribute.
Indeed, in the context of dialogue, sharing and personal implication, accounting for social, environmental and economic concerns constitutes, in our opinion, an occasion for mutual enrichment benefiting the integration of our Group within its environment.
Atlantique Day
In order to demonstrate its will in each of the states where the Group is present to be a committed, accountable and responsible player within the communities, Group Banque Atlantique has initiated « Atlantique Day », a civic service day.
Atlantique Day is a day devoted to the populations during which the staff of the Group subsidiaries and entities donate their time to carry out a selected project.
For this initial edition which took place on 21 November 2009 simultaneously in Côte d’Ivoire,
NIGERIA, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Mali, Niger, Togo et Senegal, the themes “ Education” and “Combating malaria” were retained.
